Maine Hosts Its Fifth Annual Cannabis Convention Bringing Out Enthusiasts Across The Country
Maine is on course to allow cannabis enthusiasts to buy products recreationally as early as March 2020 after voters approved legalization in November 2016.
This weekend, the state held its fifth annual cannabis convention at “The Dome” in Portland. The convention was created to help promote cannabis, educate the community, and create state-wide cannabis resources for advocates and others interested in learning more.
Mark Shepard, the president of New England Cannabis Conventions (NECANN), who hosted the event, firmly believes that cannabis and hemp could help bolster Maine’s economy.
“I think it’s gonna have a profound impact on the growth of the industry in Maine,” Shepard said. “It will be terrific for the economy.”
