Sydney Officers Take Down $6M Illegal Cannabis Grow
Police in Sydney, Australia have shut down an underground cannabis operation and confiscated more than $6 million worth of plants.
The operation took five months and led to thirteen rental properties being raided.
Authorities found that the rental properties housed intricate hydroponic cannabis grow setups. Officers found 200 plants growing in just one of the homes. Three people have been arrested in relation to the illegal cannabis operation.
Local authorities in Sydney claim that their operation was stealing power from the electrical grid. This raid is one of the largest illegal drug busts to ever happen in Sydney.
